RESPONSIBLE PUBLIC MANAGEMENT - For city-owned utilities, end deferred maintenance. For private monopolies like electricity, water, trash service, and broadband internet negotiate tough for the people of Chico, keeping public utility options on the table.

RESTORATION OF WATERWAYS - Make Chico’s creeks a better place for fish and woodland critters like birds, beavers, and deer. This means higher sustainable groundwater levels, prescribed burning, native plant restoration, and an end to camping in Chico’s creeks.
EXPANDING URBAN FORESTRY - Invest in improving the green in Chico’s streets. Chico is a city of trees because the City of Chico has invested in an urban forest. In a climate of extreme heat, we cannot take an urban forest for granted.
RESPONSIBLE SHELTER & HOUSING - Build partnerships with social service providers and shelters in Chico that are well-designed and well-maintained. City support has always been critical for the best shelter and housing projects. The City should always ask, how can we help?

CONSERVE CHICO’S INFRASTRUCTURE FUNDING - Reintroduce budget policy proposal to conserve 51% of Measure H Sales Tax as a permanent allocation for streets, roads, parks, and trees.
RESTORE CHICO’S CORE - Create a plan and commit to a timeline to upgrade Chico’s historic streets. Follow street designs outlined in approved neighborhood plans.
RESPOND TO PUBLIC REQUESTS - Develop a 311 municipal services hotline where the public can track maintenance requests. Staff adequately to respond to requests quickly.
